Any Fix For This?

Okay, so 6 years later... Is there a fix for this yet? I have Windows 8 and Domino Designer 8.5.3FP6. The double-click and hold on 2nd click approach works but it doesn't select text properly so I'm left with holding Shift then using the arrow keys to select text within the programmer's pane. Super frustrating!!!
